ABCP, LLC. Always in Business / Business Continuity Planning
What is Business Continuity Planning? Y2K and September 11 brought to the forefront the importance of planning for disasters that may befall businesses. Through planning and mitigation actions disasters can be averted and/or impacts reduced. The same threats exist today along with natural disasters. By documenting a plan beforehand your business can be ready for unforeseen situations a that could prevent you from continuing normal operations for a period of time. By planning now you can get input from your company?s best resources, resources that may not be readily available at the time of crisis.
All businesses are vulnerable to disasters. 40% of all businesses that
experience a disaster never reopen and 25% of the remaining businesses close
within 2 years. Many factors play into those statistics but of the companies
that survive, Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery Plans have had a positive
impact on the final outcome. By planning what to do, who to call, and where to
go when a disaster strikes will increase your chances for survival.
Business Continuity Planning / Disaster Recovery Planning is part of doing
business today. Any interruption of business operations can impact the bottom
line, customer relations, market share, or customer service.
What is your business doing to prevent a small crisis into becoming a disaster?
