ABCP's Methodology

The ABCP, Inc. uses a standardized consulting methodology that builds from risk analysis and information gathering through selection of the proper recovery strategy and development of a Recovery Plan to implement that strategy.  There are four main components to the methodology:

  •         Risk Assessment

  •         Business Impact Analysis

  •         Technical Impact Analysis

  •         Plan Development

  •     Plan Exercises and Maintenance

The first three of these modules focus on business analysis and strategy selection.  Selection of the proper strategy is the most important step in the recovery planning process since it will determine the goals, objectives, and content of the final Recovery Plan.

ABCP utilizes a "hands on" methodology including workshops, facilitated sessions, individual interviews and questionnaires. The client participates in all aspects of the engagement so that skills will be transferred to individuals that will maintain and support the ongoing Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery process.
