Recovery Plan Development

The purpose of the Recovery Plan Development phase is to generate the Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery Plan document and identify the business processes needed to support it. The plan will include:

  •   Disaster definitions

  •   Recovery objectives

  •   Recovery organization

  •  Recovery task lists

  •   Required resources (equipment, applications, telecom, vital records)

  •  Plan exercise schedule and targets

  •  Plan maintenance strategy

It is essential that the client staff works closely with ABCP on this phase of the project to ensure proper skills transfer and a good understanding of the plan content.

The ABCP methodology is flexible in that it allows for a standard approach to add new applications and business processes that may be developed by the client.
